The Polytechnic of Leiria (IPL) is a public institution of Higher Education that offers courses of training on an Undergraduate Degree, Masters, Post-Graduate, Technology Specialization and Preparation Courses for Access to Higher Education level.

In May 2023 Akira Ransomware Group made public in there onion page all the data they exfiltrate from the computers were there malicious software was installed. The software archives documents from the machine before asking for a ransom.
